I realized the other day that it’s pretty hard for potential clients to find my wedding photos on my website. Most users just don’t feel like navigating all the way through my website to the wedding photos. In an effort to help with this, I have designed a new wedding only website. Check it out! it’s not completely finished but it’s far enough along that I can release it for everyone to see. The website address is http://www.wedding.photographysouthflorida.com

I got a call today from the senior editor of Popular Photography magazine. First off, let me say that Popular Photography magazine is my favorite photography related magazine and I would buy a lifetime subscription if it were available. Having said that, you might understand why the phone call I received today was such a big deal. They want to feature one of my older photos (shown above) in the september issue of Popular photography!
I was reading a post recently about benchmark photos in your career by Atlanta based photographer zack Arias, and it made me think about some of my benchmark photos. The photo below was one of those photos for me.
When I took this photo, I had no idea how important it was going to be for me. I didn’t know that the creators of Mustang Generations were right next to me discussing my photos and talking about bringing me on board. It’s not that it’s the greatest shot in the world, it’s not even the best shot from that night but it was the one that Mustang Generations chose to publish on the cover of their very first issue. I’ve had photos published before this shot but none were quite as important to me. This one shot got me into automotive magazines and led me to shoot for other magazines such as Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords and Ford Performance Trucks. I still regularly shoot for Mustang Generations and I believe that every photo they’ve published after this one has been better than this shot but this one still holds an important place.

A couple months ago I took some engagement photos for Katie and Matt. They just informed me of a website they put up so that friends and family can keep up to date on their “crazy” wedding plans (knowing them, I’m sure it will be crazy). Congrats again guys and I can’t wait until the wedding!
